Body Talk

BodyTalk is a holistic and very effective form of natural healthcare. It is non-invasive and can be used as a stand alone system or can be integrated with any other healthcare choices. The BodyTalk System helps the body recover from stress and renews communication throughout the body, which teaches the body to return itself to balance. When optimal communication can occur it allows the healing process to naturally occur on all levels. BodyTalk can resolve health challenges, whether they be physical, mental or emotional.

BodyTalk System can help treat:

What to expect at your first Body Talk appointment:

Julie will go over your health history and any emotional or mental challenges that are happening at the moment. She will describe how the session works and then have you lie down on a massage table face up with or without a blanket.

The BodyTalk system works by first identifying the weak energy circuits that exist within the body. For every malfunctioning energy circuit found, we contact the corresponding "points" and then “tap in” the corrections.

ENJOY your session and have an open mind. Relax, and listen to the “links” (areas of the protocol chart that come up specifically for you) and join in on various techniques when asked. Julie will try to give you as much information as she can about those “links” and what they mean to you.

Breathing is the key to having a great session. Julie will ask you to breathe deeply for most of the techniques. Emotions may come up in the session, you will feel better once it passes.

Understanding Body Talk, why is it beneficial?

The body has built-in mechanisms to initiate the healing process. If we cut ourselves, the body immediately sets up a process to start healing the wound. This occurs at several levels - physical, emotional, and mental. Although this is obvious to every one of us, most people do not fully realize just how wonderful the human healing mechanism actually is.

So why do we get sick?
The problem facing the body is in the way our lifestyles interfere with the natural processes of the body. Today, most people in society are routinely exposed to the following:

  • The physical stresses of day to day life including physical injuries.
  • Emotional traumas and issues that arise from time to time (e.g. extreme anger, fear, worry, sadness, grief, guilt or jealousy that we experience but cannot process and release effectively).
  • Chemical substances contained in the food we eat, the water we drink, and the air that we breathe.
  • Exposure to artificial energy fields that exist within our society and the electronic devices that we use on a daily basis (e.g., power plants, overhead electrical wires, phones and cell phones, pagers, computers, TVs, VCRs, stereo equipment, microwave ovens, lights, clock radios, other electrical appliances).

These factors compromise the communication networks or energy circuits of the body. It is critical that these systems be perfectly balanced for the body to effectively coordinate the billions of synchronized activities per second that are necessary to maintain optimum health.

The body only fails in its job because its communication systems have been severely compromised through the external stresses of life. In essence, the energy circuits are "blown" in a similar manner to electrical circuits in our house that "blow" when they are overloaded. By re-establishing good communication between the various parts of the body, they once again are able to "talk" to each other. The body is then capable of healing itself very rapidly and effectively.

How to prepare for a BodyTalk Session

Before your session, please take some time to think about any goals that you might have with BodyTalk. Write them down on your intake form but do not write more than 4 things. Julie will use that list to see if one (or more) can be addressed at the time of the session. Some examples:

  • I would like to work on my memory.
  • I would like to help my arthritis pain.
  • I would like to get along better with my family/coworkers/animals.
  • I would like to be happier and less anxious.
  • I would like to do better on exams/tests at school.

Please make sure that you have been drinking enough water during the days leading up to the session. Being adequately hydrated is extremely important for the session to work well. Water is needed for all systems of the body (digestive, nervous system, lymphatic etc.) to function at optimum levels which in turn help the session outcome. Eat lightly before the session. Do not eat a big meal or processed food as you may feel uncomfortable or sleepy.

Dress in clothes that are comfortable for you. Cotton is best, and note that you may be moving arms and legs during the session. If you have physical mobility issues, please let Julie know.
